Natalya Zaderkovskaya presented the NAM’s cultural plan before and during the transition period
The NAM believes based on rich historical and cultural heritage and with great creative potential, the citizens of New Belarus will overcome the problems created by the regime and demonstrate the high level of Belarusian culture to the world community.
Action plan before the transition
To approach this goal, the NAM will inform Belarusians and international organisations about violations of citizens' rights in the sphere of culture until the transition period. We will also use all available mechanisms to protect the cultural rights and freedoms of Belarusians. The NAM plans to do its best to make sure that cultural resources are not used for propaganda of the regime.
Also, the NAM together with the Belarusian Foundation for Cultural Solidarity will develop a Culture Reform Program and form a management team to implement this Program in New Belarus.
Priority areas during the transition period
During the transition period, the NAM will work to abolish repressive decisions against cultural workers and to abolish unjustified control and censorship of creative activities.
Special attention will be paid to the protection of the tangible and intangible national historical and cultural heritage of the Belarusians.
