Pavel Latushka participated in a meeting of the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus


During the meeting with Lithuanian Deputy Foreign Minister Mantas Adomenas:

  • discussed increasing pressure on the Lukashenko regime under universal criminal jurisdiction, criminal investigations into the forced landing of the Ryanair plane and hybrid warfare using illegal migrants. Pavel Latushka noted that the above-mentioned tools of pressure are at the disposal of the Lithuanian prosecutor's office, as well as other countries. And the responsibility for the crimes must come;

  • agreed to analyze the effectiveness of economic sanctions and ways to circumvent them used by the regime;

  • Pavel Latushka informed on the actions of the Belarusian democracies to support Ukraine's struggle for its independence and territorial integrity.

During the meeting with the diplomats of the Belarusian political section of the US Embassy:

  • Discussed in detail the tools the U.S. can use to pressure and hold accountable representatives of the Lukashenko regime.

During the meeting of the Transitional Cabinet representatives Pavel Latushka and Aliaksandr Azarau with Lithuanian deputy of the European Parliament Petras Auštrevičius and former chair of the Constitutional Court of Lithuania Dainius Žalimas they agreed on:

  • Interaction to increase pressure on the regime. In the nearest future, in the interests of a citizen of Belarus, an application will be filed to the Lithuanian prosecutor's office against the Belarusian judge who rendered an unlawful politically motivated sentence, in order to create a precedent for bringing all judges outside Belarus who render political judgments to justice;

  • cooperating within PACE to establish an international tribunal for crimes against humanity;

  • the use of the legal mechanisms of the European Parliament to expand the personal lists of perpetrators of mass repressions in Belarus.
