The head of the NAM and Deputy Head of the United Transitional Cabinet Pavel Latushka shared with "Nasha Niva" his thoughts and information about the prospects of sending the Belarusian military to war in Ukraine
The policy-maker believes that the Russians have a task to create a common army of the so-called Union State.
"The preparation for creation has been going on not for far from the first day. The creation of such an army is another invitation for our state. Actually, there is a gradual annexation of Belarus. Actions are being taken to eliminate our independence and sovereignty," says the head of the NAM.
Speaking about the role of the Belarusian army in this war, Pavel Latushka believes that the Belarusian army is primarily assigned the role of rearward, which they arrange not only on the territory of Belarus, but also in the occupied parts of Ukraine.
"We have information that the military of one of the military units from near Minsk were sent to the occupied part of the territory of Ukraine, where they are engaged in mechanical material maintenance. They are located in 50 kilometers from the contact line of Ukrainian and Russian troops in the Donbas. First of all, they are motivated by money," Pavel Latushka told to "NN".
Pavel Latushka believes that the main reason why Lukashenko has not yet decided to fully enter the war with Ukraine is the mood among the military.

Source information from different law enforcement agencies clearly demonstrates that the mood in the Belarusian army is not the same. And even in the ranks of the top leadership of the power unit and the Ministry of Defense. There is evidence that a significant part of the Belarusian army and officers definitely do not want to fight, that’s why Lukashenko is starting to use increasingly aggressive outreach," the politician shares.
