Lukashenko will be responsible

Pavel Latushka: Deputy Head of the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus, Head of the National Anti-Crisis Management, Ambassador

Pavel Latushka, in an interview with Euroradio, spoke about ongoing efforts to hold Lukashenko and his accomplices accountable.

Nothing has stopped, and it will not stop until Lukashenko receives an arrest warrant. It’s unclear how long this will take, but the process will not be halted. A few days ago, we prepared another report on the facts of war crimes committed by Lukashenko, specifically related to the deportation of Ukrainian children. These materials were passed to one of our partner countries for further advancement.

A great deal depends on our partners in Ukraine. Ukraine has the primary right, as it is defending the interests of its citizens — the children who are suffering as a result of the war crime perpetrated by Lukashenko and his accomplices. Much depends on how prepared Ukraine is to continue working with the International Criminal Court to move this case forward so that an arrest warrant can eventually be issued. On our side, we are not stopping and will not stop. We have collected a lot of material and continue to gather more evidence. The amount is growing day by day.

But this is not the only direction we are pursuing. We are also working on submitting the situation in Belarus to the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity. Hundreds of thousands of victims of crimes against humanity — this includes those killed, tortured, political sentences, and deportation to neighboring countries.

Lukashenko will be held accountable for his crimes.
