However, today this web page on the website of the Belarusian Red Cross is not available. This is an unconditional consequence of the international censure and pressure imposed on the BOKK by its leader Dmitry Shevtsov, who arrived in the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine in military uniform with the letter “Z” on his sleeve - a symbol of Russian aggression.
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies immediately conducted an internal audit of this flagrant violation of the principles of the Red Cross Movement. unprecedented lockdown measures will be taken. Suspension of membership or exclusion from the International Federation is possible. This will certainly affect the ability of the BOCC to implement projects funded by international partners.
In this regard, it is important to note that such consequences, first of all, are the result of deliberate defiant actions aimed at discrediting and undermining the work of organizations that are part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
Dmitry Shevtsov actually personally eliminated the humanitarian potential of the Belarusian Red Cross to provide assistance to the most vulnerable categories of citizens in Belarus.
