Lukashenka is an aggressor and earns on the war

Providing territory for attack is an act of aggression. The illegitimate leadership of Belarus is the aggressors

Head of the NAM Pavel Latushka live on Espreso.TV

It is difficult to bring the positions of the parties closer in the negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian sides, but we should talk about a temporary truce and suspension of fire. This does not solve the problem in a global perspective, leaving the risk of continued local clashes and resumption of hostilities, but the main thing that needs to be achieved now is to stop shelling cities and stop the killing of Ukrainians. It would be good if significant progress could be made on other issues as well, but it’s difficult to trust the Russian side too much when signing such documents.

Do not forget that citizen Lukashenka is under the direct control of the Kremlin and will carry out any instructions that Putin personally gives him. Currently, he is collecting dividends from the current situation: he has already managed to get from Russia a reduced cost of oil for processing at Belarusian enterprises and a gas price of $ 120, as well as "unprecedented" access to the Russian market for Belarusian goods and postpone the payment of debt obligations to Russia at a later date — all this is a payment for loyalty to Putin.

At the same time, the West once again makes a mistake by not taking the most severe sanctions against the Belarusian regime, similar to those adopted against Russia, which allows Lukashenka to create an offshore zone in Belarus and sell goods that cannot be bought in Russia.

Lukashenka seized power in 2020, holds it by force and is not the legitimate leader of Belarus. He provided Belarus with railway and road support for the movement of Russian troops, transferred the entire military infrastructure to foreign armed forces and allowed the use of the territory of the Republic of Belarus to strike at our friendly country and the people of Ukraine.

We urge to separate the Lukashenka regime and the Belarusian society. According to the latest polls, 97% of the urban population is categorically against military aggression against Ukraine, this figure is fundamentally different from the polls currently being conducted in Russia.

We have already made a statement that now the Republic of Belarus should be considered as a territory temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation. Lukashenka and his puppet government have actually lost control over the movement of troops of a foreign state on the territory of the country, but this does not relieve them of responsibility. In accordance with the Resolution of the UN General Assembly: the provision of territory for attack is an act of aggression, therefore, the illegitimate leadership of Belarus is the aggressors.
