Belarusians organize a picket near the British American Tobacco office in London
The Belarusian diaspora in Great Britain continues to hold rallies near the office of the British American Tobacco (BAT) tobacco company. The protesters call on the company to abandon any relationship with the terrorist regime: "while continuing to remain a partner of the Belarusian illegitimate government, BAT sponsors both torture and murder in Belarus and the flow of smuggled cigarettes to Europe".
As a reminder, the NAM sent letters to British American Tobacco, Imperial Tobacco, Japan Tobacco International and Philip Morris (cigarettes in Belarus are produced under the licenses of these companies) with a proposal to assess the practices that their Belarusian partners use and the internal regulations of international manufacturers. These regulations include the inadmissibility of smuggling and violations of the rights of enterprise employees.
