Plane with Roman Protasevich forced to land in Minsk is an act of state terrorism
The National Anti-Crisis Management supports the statement of the leader of the democratic Belarus Svetlana Tsikhanouskaya concerning the incident and demands the immediate release of the Belarusian journalist Roman Protasevich.
We insist on the immediate introduction of the fourth package of sanctions against the illegitimate authorities of Belarus. We also insist on the speedy preparation and adoption of the fifth package of sanctions in connection with the growing repression in Belarus.
We are actively consulting with the Foreign Ministries of the European Union, as well as with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the European International Air Transport Association (EIATA). We believe it is important to suspend international air traffic over the territory of Belarus for the duration of the investigation. To temporarily ban the possibility of overflying Belarusian government and military aircraft over the territory of European countries.
We also call on European countries, the United States, and other international partners to speed up the recognition of Lukashenka as an international terrorist.
