British parliamentarians supported the NAM campaign to deprive Lukashenka’s regime of access to IMF funds
A group of parliamentarians representing all parties of the British Parliament supported the position of the NAM and the Belarusian diaspora and sent an appeal to the Chancellor of the British Treasury Rishi Sunak to use the voice of the United Kingdom in the IMF in order to block the transfer of Special Drawing Rights (SDR) to the illegitimate Lukashenka regime.
The head of the NAM Pavel Latushka spoke with words of gratitude for the solidarity shown and support for our campaign at a high level. We thank Tony Lloyd MP (Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Belarus), Lord Balfe, Lord Bowness, Marion Fellows MP, Lord Foulkes of Cumnock, Lord German, Lord Kilclooney, Lord Russell of Liverpool and Baroness Stern for their unanimity and invaluable contribution to support democratic changes in Belarus.
Separately, we would like to thank the diaspora of Belarusians in Great Britain for the fact that thanks to their efforts our campaign has received such weighty and necessary support now.

Recall that the ultimate goal of our campaign is to block SDR transfers to the regime in the amount of more than $ 1 billion and to preserve these funds for New Belarus. Together we are doing everything possible to prevent them from continuing the terror and repression, and blocking them was a powerful blow to the criminal Lukashenka’s regime.
Earlier, the diaspora of the US Belarusians came up with a similar initiative by placing an open appeal to senators and congressmen: link
We also voiced the issue of depriving the regime of access to IMF resources and our specific proposals in an analytical note that we sent to the Friends of Belarus group of the US Congress: link
