"Belarusians in the EU were asked to tell: "For Lukashenka no way back". Results of the meetings of Pavel Latushka and Vladzimir Astapenka in Brussels
Head of the NAM Pavel Latushka and responsible for multilateral diplomacy Vladzimir Astapenka held a number of meetings in Brussels.
Bart Grotheys, MEP from the Netherlands: "The Dutch are the tallest people on earth, apparently only second to the Belarus opposition, whom I welcomed today in European Parliament. They also outperform on bravery. Like them, the EU needs to challenge Lukashenka’s regime with new and brave collective countermeasures"
Dirk Schuebel and Baiba Alekseiuka-Tavares
Pavel Latushka: "Very glad to have a productive discussion with Mme Baiba Aleksejuka-Tavares, Member of the Cabinet of Josep Borrell & Ambassador of EU in Belarus Dirk Schuebel on the implementation of the strategic proposals of the democratic forces. Together we will achieve our goals"
Nicola Beer, Vice President of the European Parliament
Pavel Latushka: "We are very glad that the Vice-President of the European Parliament Nicola Beer fully shares the legal approaches of the strategy of the NAM and democratic forces to resolve the crisis in Belarus. The EU’s efforts should be more persistent in action"
Radoslaw Sikorski, ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, MEP
Pavel Latushka: "We are very glad that a strong ally has appeared in our struggle to recognize the regime as a terrorist. Thank you, Mr. Minister, European Deputy "
— We are clearly following the path: non-recognition of Lukashenka and his government, recognition of the regime as terrorist, the 5th package of sanctions, which is now being prepared. In the near future we are waiting for a principled tough resolution of the European Parliament. The regime is guilty of a hybrid war with the EU and will be held responsible for illegal actions. There are even more active allies of the democratic forces of Belarus in the EU. Lukashenka and his accomplices will definitely not sit behind the "Belarus" sign at the Eastern Partnership summit in Brussels in December. The Belarusians in the EU were asked to convey: "For Lukashenka, no way back". There will be no return of the EU policy towards the regime to the situation until 2020, — concluded Pavel Latushka.
