The NAM calls on employees of the Presidential Administration, the State Secretariat of the Security Council and judges of the Constitutional Court to block the signing of repressive bills
The Belarusian parliament during its spring session considered and adopted a number of repressive bills. The deputies decided, among other things, to give law enforcement officers the right to use weapons against peaceful citizens at their discretion, to expand the concept of "extremism" and introduce additional restrictions on mass events, as well as on the work of the independent press and lawyers.
All these bills are anti-people and anti-constitutional. They are now only separated from being sent to the illegitimate president to be signed by employees of the Presidential Administration, the State Secretariat of the Security Council and judges of the Constitutional Court.
Artsiom Praskalovich, a member of the NAM justice team, explained the essence of the new draft laws and appealed to officials not to commit an official crime and block the signing of the next repressive regulations.
